It was fun attempting to capture the feel of the old metal vessel and imagining all the use and maybe even misuse.  As I was enjoying painting all the subtle tones of copper and the shades of grays and blues in the pitcher, the apples just seemed to be saying, 'Look at me! Look at me!' ...hence the title, METAL 'N' APPLES.
